MEDICAL BILLING SPECIALIST
AUTHORIZATION
SPECIALIST
The Knapp Center for Childhood Development, a behavioral health center specializing in the treatment of children diagnosed with autism, is looking to welcome an experienced medical billing specialists to join our growing team ! The Medical Billing Specialist will work
ON-SITE/FULL TIME
in our Billing Department and be responsible for:
  • Filing electronic and paper claims, posting payments, insurance follow-up, submitting pre-authorizations, and researching denials
  • Assisting the billing department with checking all patient's insurances to ensure that insurances are still active and the patient is eligible for services
  • Ensuring accurate and timely billing
  • Submit and track authorizations for treatment.
  • Assisting the Director of the Center and Billing Manager with healthcare financial services.
Experience in medical billing/coding for a minimum of 2 years is a requirement of employment. The Medical Billing Specialist should be detail-oriented, enjoy working as a team and working independently in a fast-paced environment. A career-life balance is very important.
