This position is responsible primarily for the accurate and timely filing of medical claims for our pediatric speech, occupational, and physical therapy services. Position Responsibilities Submit medical claims to Oklahoma Medicaid and commercial insurance companies Review claims for accuracy before submission Enter and verify patient, insurance, provider, dates of service, and billing information Submit electronic claims through appropriate clearinghouses and payer portals Monitor claims to ensure they have been successfully submitted and accepted Correct and resubmit claims that are rejected due to filing or data-entry errors Maintain accurate billing records Follow established clinic billing procedures and payer requirements Communicate with the administrative team regarding missing or incorrect information needed to file a claim Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA requirements This position is focused on initial claim filing and claim submission accuracy. It does not include responsibility for pursuing denied claims, appeals, collections, or extensive insurance follow-up. Qualifications Previous medical billing experience required Experience filing claims to Medicaid and commercial insurance companies Knowledge of medical insurance terminology and electronic claim submission Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and follow established procedures Good computer skills Ability to handle a consistent volume of claims while maintaining accuracy Experience with pediatric therapy, outpatient rehabilitation, or other healthcare billing is a plus

Pay:

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
