Job Description

Pharmacy Billing Specialist Synergy Pharmacy Services is seeking a full-time billing specialist to join our team. We are a full touch, customer centric pharmacy who offers the highest quality services. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who thrives in a team environment and possesses critical thinking skills.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30 pm, in a professional office
Responsibilities:
Adjudicate, move, and work daily prescription rejections timely. Batch and submit cycle prescriptions to third party payers, resolve all denials before prescriptions are delivered. Process daily censuses including all face sheet demographics, financially responsible payer info and Medicare, Medicaid or Commercial insurance status. On a biweekly basis, review prebilling reports to identify any discrepancies and reconcile as needed. Handle all aspects of facility and private billing for assigned facilities monthly. Work with providers, pharmacy staff, and nursing to notify when prior authorizations are needed and complete prior authorizations in a timely manner. Communicate with all facility clinical and administrative staff professionally, efficiently, and effectively via email and phone. Assist with third party audits including researching scripts and reviewing for accuracy.
Qualifications:
Registered Pharmacy Technician (Board of Pharmacy, State of Pennsylvania required) Experience in long term care or retail pharmacy environment At least 1 year of pharmacy billing experience Communication, problem solving, and organizational skills necessary. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Strong Customer Service skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
