Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team at Orthopaedic Associates of Reading. In this role, you will be responsible for charge entry, payment entry, and follow up on outstanding accounts receiveable for insurance and patient collections. Your contributions will be vital to the financial health of our practice. Responsibilities Post claims and reports necessary for the collection of monies due from insurance carriers. Accurately code claims with the appropriate CPT, ICD.10, and referral authorization codes. Monitor posted claims to ensure proper acceptance and payment by carriers. Contact patient for balances due. Collect funds, set up payment plans, interact with collection agencies. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing within a healthcare setting Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems (ICD-10). Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare professionals. Experience with electronic health record (EPIC) systems is preferred.
