We provide affirming, person-centered psychiatric care with a focus on neurodivergent- and LGBTQ+-inclusive treatment. As we grow from a solo practice into a group practice, we're looking for a detail-oriented, reliable team member to help keep our clinical and administrative operations running smoothly. About the Role We're seeking an Administrative & Billing Coordinator to support our providers and clients through scheduling, client communication, day-to-day administrative tasks, and billing support. This role starts part-time, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position as the practice scales. Work is currently fully remote; as the practice grows, this role may transition to include some in-person time at a Winston-Salem office. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys structure, is comfortable working independently, and has some prior experience with medical billing or insurance processes. Responsibilities Manage client scheduling, appointment reminders, and calendar coordination across providers Monitor client communications (portal messages, email, phone) and route or respond appropriately Support intake coordination — processing new client paperwork, insurance verification, and onboarding Provide day-to-day support to providers, including scheduling coordination and communication with clients on their behalf Support billing operations: tracking outstanding balances, sending bills, troubleshooting billing issues, monitoring client billing status Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant client records Provide general administrative support (correspondence, document prep, light bookkeeping tasks as needed) Qualifications 1+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative role required Prior experience with patient billing, collections, or payment follow-up preferred Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities Comfortable working independently in a remote/telehealth environment Experience in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting a plus, but not required What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Remote work flexibility (with potential for in-person time in Winston-Salem down the road) A clear path from part-time to full-time as the practice grows Opportunity to grow with an expanding practice Eligibility for benefits once transitioned to full-time hours Supportive, mission-driven team culture
