Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Billing and Insurance Specialist! In this vital role, you will be the driving force behind accurate medical billing processes, insurance claims management, and ensuring seamless reimbursement for healthcare services. Your expertise will help optimize revenue cycles, improve patient satisfaction, and uphold the highest standards of medical coding and documentation. Responsibilities Submit electronic claims for behavioral health services Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility before appointments Obtain and track prior authorizations Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims Prepare and submit claim appeals Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation for billing Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality Requirements Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, and commercial insurance plans Experience using EHR such as TherapyNotes, Tebra, or a similar system Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
