Responsibilities Submit electronic claims for behavioral health services Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility before appointments Obtain and track prior authorizations Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims Prepare and submit claim appeals Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation for billing Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality Requirements Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, and commercial insurance plans Experience using EHR such as TherapyNotes, Tebra, or a similar system Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
