Overview Ladle is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our Finance team. This entry-level role supports the order-to-cash process, including SaaS subscription billing, invoicing, collections support, and customer account maintenance. The Billing Specialist works closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Accounting to ensure customer contracts are accurately reflected in billing systems and invoices are processed in a timely and accurate manner. This role is ideal for someone early in their finance or accounting career who enjoys working with data, improving processes, and supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-growing environment. Key Responsibilities Support the order-to-cash process, including contract review, billing setup, invoicing, and collections follow-up. Process recurring and non-recurring customer billing in accordance with company policies. Review contract data in Salesforce and ensure accurate setup in the billing system (Maxio). Assist in maintaining accurate customer and billing records across systems. Monitor invoices and support tracking of outstanding balances and customer inquiries via phone and email. Partner with Sales and Customer Success to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure contract accuracy. Assist with month-end close activities, including billing reports, A/R analysis, and supporting documentation. Maintain organized documentation related to billing processes and customer records. Identify opportunities to improve billing workflows and support process enhancements. Support audit and compliance requests as needed. Qualifications 13 years of experience in billing, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business environment is a plus. Familiarity with Salesforce, Maxio (SaaSOptics), or similar billing/CRM systems preferred. Basic understanding of accounting principles; exposure to GAAP or revenue recognition concepts is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Comfortable communicating with customers and internal stakeholders via phone and email. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
