We are seeking a dedicated Hospital Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team! In this key position, you will be responsible for managing the billing and collections of outstanding account balances for commercial, government, and managed care payors. Working a flexible daytime shift (Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM PT), you will utilize Epic to review claims, interpret complex payor contract language, perform collection activities, and ensure expected reimbursement is fully collected. You will also issue paper claims, process appeals, submit refund requests, and proactively identify payor trends to report to leadership. If you bring at least two years of hospital billing and collections experience, strong proficiency in Epic and MS Excel, and reside in the Pacific Time Zone, this position offers an ideal environment to your expertise.

Manage end-to-end hospital billing and collections in Epic, interpreting complex payor contracts, pursuing outstanding commercial and government accounts, and submitting paper claims, appeals, and refund requests.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute billing and collection activities for commercial, government, and managed care payors using Epic and online resources. Read, interpret, and complex payor contract terms to calculate expected reimbursements and pursue all monies due. Identify, research, and report payor issues and claim trends to PFS Leadership. Prepare and submit paper claims, formal paper appeals, and refund requests accurately. Perform account collection activities using web tools and professional phone communication.
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years of experience in hospital billing and collections. Proven hands-on experience utilizing Epic for billing and collection workflows. strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Proficiency in submitting paper claims, filing appeals, and processing refund requests. Must reside in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and be available to start work between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM PT.
