This is not an entry-level billing position. We are looking for someone who understands dental insurance thoroughly, knows how to work an aging report strategically, and can independently investigate and resolve unpaid or underpaid claims. Prior hands-on experience with both Dentrix and Vyne is required for this position. Primary Responsibilities Review and actively work outstanding insurance claims and insurance A/R Follow up consistently on unpaid, delayed, denied, or underpaid claims Work insurance aging reports strategically, prioritizing claims based on age, dollar amount, and urgency Investigate claim issues and determine exactly what is preventing payment Correct and resubmit claims when necessary Prepare and submit appeals with appropriate supporting documentation Review EOBs and insurance payments for accuracy Identify incorrect processing, downgrades, frequency limitations, missing information, coordination-of-benefits issues, and other discrepancies Submit and manage claims, attachments, narratives, X-rays, perio charting, and supporting documentation through Vyne Communicate directly with insurance carriers and follow claims through resolution Maintain detailed, accurate claim notes in Dentrix Track claims requiring additional action and ensure nothing falls through the cracks Identify recurring billing or claim-submission problems and communicate them to management Assist with insurance payment posting and reconciliation as needed Help maintain clean accounts and reduce outstanding insurance A/R Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum 3 years of dental insurance billing and/or dental A/R experience preferred Hands-on Dentrix experience

Experience independently managing dental insurance aging reports Strong knowledge of dental terminology and CDT codes Strong knowledge of PPO dental insurance Experience reviewing EOBs and resolving denials and underpayments Understanding of downgrades, frequency limitations, waiting periods, annual maximums, deductibles, missing tooth clauses, coordination of benefits, and other common dental insurance provisions Experience preparing appeals, narratives, and supporting documentation Comfortable communicating directly with insurance companies Strong attention to detail and documentation Ability to independently research and resolve complicated claims Excellent organizational and follow-through skills Please do not apply if you do not have prior dental billing experience using both Dentrix and Vyne. What Success Looks Like We are looking for someone who doesn't simply "touch" claims. Success means claims are followed through to resolution . Our billing specialist should be able to take an outstanding claim, determine why it has not been paid, identify what is needed, take the appropriate action, document that action, and continue following it until the claim is resolved.
