This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of healthcare billing, insurance processes, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate quotes and cost estimates for medical procedures, treatments, and healthcare services. Review patient insurance benefits, coverage information, deductibles, copayments, and out-of-pocket responsibilities to provide clear financial estimates. Communicate with patients by phone and written correspondence regarding billing inquiries, account balances, payment options, and financial responsibilities. Explain medical estimates, insurance benefits, billing statements, and payment requirements in a clear and professional manner. Work closely with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal billing teams to resolve billing and payment-related issues. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed and document information accurately in the appropriate systems. Follow up on outstanding estimates, billing inquiries, and patient account issues to ensure timely resolution. Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, privacy requirements, payer policies, and medical billing guidelines. Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality when discussing financial matters with patients. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in medical billing, patient financial services, insurance verification, healthcare estimates, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance benefits, billing practices, and healthcare reimbursement processes. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to explain complex billing and insurance information clearly to patients.
