Description High-risk obstetrical office seeking an experienced, full-time, Medical Insurance Biller to join our growing team in Johnson City.
Job Description/Duties :
This description is a general concept of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular basis by the billing team. Duties may change as assigned. Verification of appropriate diagnosis codes with CPT's Verification of appropriate CPT's and modifiers Claims submission Posting of claim payments Accounts Receivable follow up Outgoing calls to patients related to outstanding balances, insurance plan confirmation, and other inquiries related to claims Obtaining prior authorizations Daily entering of patient charges for multiple locations Insurance verifications Assist with denials, medical record requests and other information as needed for claims Appointment scheduling Scanning of patient records Team player capable of effective communication with providers and other team members Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in adherence with HIPAA Must have a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and strong patient service skills Adherence to all policies and procedures including but not limited to standards for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance Full benefits package available including health, dental, and vision insurance;401k; paid time off. Requirements Minimum of 1 year billing experience; experience in OB/GYN preferred Knowledge of medical coding and third-party operating procedures and policies High school diploma or completion of medical billing courses Comfortable and familiar with operation of computers and basic office equipment
