Job Description
- Job Overview
- We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Insurance Billing Specialist with a minimum of two years experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for submitting medical claims to health insurance companies and ensuring timely reimbursement as well as posting payments and working the AR for both insurance and patient.
- Responsibilities
- Utilize knowledge of medical billing and coding to submit claims to insurance companies
- Verify patient insurance coverage and process payments
- Review and appeal denied claims
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies regarding billing issues
- Stay current on industry changes and updates related to medical billing practices
- Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical billing, coding, and terminology
- Familiarity with ICD-10 codes
- Experience with medical collection processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of medical office systems and procedures
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
