The Accounting Administrator is responsible for assisting in the operation of the accounting department and will work with team members at our stores, accounting staff, and vendors to maintain the financial success of our dealerships. The ideal candidate is organized, detail focused, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to communicate clearly with accounting, sales, finance, insurance, title, and lender contacts. Prior automotive accounting experience is required, and experience with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, ADP, or another dealership management system is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Processing daily bank deposits for Parts, Service, and Finance transactions from multiple locations Verifying and posting transactions to accounting systems and/or spreadsheets Preparing and processing documents for dealer trades, including creating payments for traded vehicles Working with a list of outstanding receivables and staff to resolve missing or problem payments efficiently Contacting business customers and vendors to keep accounts in good standing Reconcile accounting schedules assigned to ensure work is processed timely and accurately Processing daily vendor invoices from Parts, Service and Sales transactions from multiple locations Working with a list of outstanding payables and staff to resolve missing or problem payments efficiently Contacting business customers and vendors to keep accounts in good standing Answering and directing phone calls or greeting and directing clients Additional clerical tasks, as needed Qualifications Qualified candidates should have: At least 2 years of automotive accounting experience, such as billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or title work Experience handling cash or payment related documentation Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized Clear communication skills and a team-oriented approach ADP, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or other dealership software experience preferred Additional dealership office experience is a plus Schedule and Compensation This is a 40-hour, hourly position with a Monday through Friday schedule. Standard working hours occur between 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. Weekends are off.
