Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking experienced Revenue Cycle Specialists to join our growing practice and corporate-based Revenue Cycle team. This position requires a strong knowledge of dental billing and insurance balances and successful experience managing insurance accounts and outstanding balances. The Revenue Cycle team is responsible for helping move accounts through the insurance billing and collections process for multiple office locations by ensuring that complete and accurate procedures are followed. Revenue Cycle specialists are responsible for functions involving insurance billing, resolving outstanding claims, researching and resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate account balances. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and organized, persistent, and able to work independently. Only candidates with at least 2 years of full time billing and collections/Revenue Cycle experience will be considered. Key Responsibilities Dental Billing & Insurance Accurately process, review, and submit dental claims to primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance providers. Post payments from insurance companies and patients, reconciling EFT and checks daily. Research and resolve claim denials, re-file appeals, and follow up with insurance companies. Maintain accurate patient accounts, including balances, statements, and prior authorizations. Generate and review monthly dental claim reports. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and practice policies. Work insurance aging reports and prioritize outstanding accounts Follow up directly with dental insurance carriers on unpaid claims Investigate rejected, denied, delayed, and underpaid claims Determine the reason for non-payment and take appropriate corrective action Submit corrected claims and additional documentation when necessary Review EOBs for payment accuracy and identify discrepancies Post insurance payments, adjustments, and other account activity Reconcile account balances and identify unresolved issues Research insurance benefits and claim history as needed Maintain detailed notes documenting claim activity and follow-up Monitor accounts from initial claim submission through final payment Assist with identifying trends that contribute to delayed or unpaid claims Communicate with dental offices regarding account issues requiring follow-up Help reduce outstanding AR through consistent and timely follow-up What We're Looking For 2 years of dental billing, insurance, or AR experience Open Dental experience preferred but will train exceptional candidate Working knowledge of dental insurance and claim processing Experience reviewing EOBs and understanding insurance payments Experience handling denials, rejected claims, and payment discrepancies Understanding of deductibles, coinsurance, downgrades, write-offs, and patient responsibility Experience working aging reports Strong attention to detail and account accuracy Excellent follow-through and organizational skills Professional communication skills when working with insurance carriers and dental offices Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Team Support Communicate effectively and professionally with all Bravo team members, insurance companies, and external patients and customers. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment. Assist in additional administrative and operational support as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required). Minimum of 2 years dental office experience (billing and/or front office). Strong knowledge of dental insurance, billing, and patient coordination. Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Open Dental or other dental software preferred. Schedule, Location, and Travel Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm CST. This position is based out of corporate office located at 1400 N. Westmoreland Road, Dallas Texas 75211. Travel to our Bravo! Dental offices in DFW will include up to ~50% of the schedule. This is NOT a remote position.
