$18.00 - $22.00 an hour, depending on qualifications and experience About the Role Burke is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Billing Specialist to join our Business Services team in Diboll, TX. This position plays an essential role in supporting the organization's revenue cycle by monitoring billing performance, identifying and resolving claim issues, assisting with eligibility reporting, and collaborating with staff and insurance payors to improve billing processes and reimbursement outcomes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and committed to accuracy while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. What You'll Do Monitor billing performance reports and identify discrepancies requiring corrective action
Research billing issues and initiate corrections to improve claim accuracy and reimbursement
Assist with bi-monthly eligibility verification reports
Work with staff and third-party payors to identify billing trends and process improvement opportunities
Process and resolve payment issues and accounts receivable discrepancies
Enter and maintain accurate financial and billing data in automated accounting systems
Communicate professionally with patients, staff, and insurance payors
Maintain organized billing records and supporting documentation
Support compliance with organizational policies and payer requirements Education & Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Business degree preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a business or clerical position involving:
Filing and organizational maintenance
Processing financial transactions
Payment resolution
Data entry into an automated accounting system
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, staff, and third-party payors
Valid Texas driver's license required What Helps You Stand Out Two (2) years of experience in medical insurance billing, including Medicare and Medicaid
One (1) or more years of psychiatric insurance billing experience using automated billing systems
Experience using ClaimMD medical billing software
Knowledge of accounts receivable and healthcare revenue cycle processes
Experience identifying billing trends and implementing process improvements Key Skills Medical insurance billing
