Job Description
Job Summary:
The Billing Specialist will gather data, calculate charges and fees, and create invoices for billing purposes. We are a growing company in the power line construction and maintenance industry looking for a candidate who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will easily transition from routine daily tasks to a higher paced setting during critical times such as during emergency and storm restoration efforts.Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Calculates costs for goods, services, and applicable sales tax.
- Verifies accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors.
- Creates and processes invoices in accordance with company contracts, policies, and procedures.
- Performs general bookkeeping work, which may include entering data and maintaining records, invoices, and supporting documents of amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
- Generates billing documents and maintains billing records.
- Contacts customers regarding billing inquiries and payments.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to independently solve problems as they arise.
- Ability to get along well with others and to act with integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to read and understand contracts to fulfill customer requirements and ensure billing accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior construction billing experience
STRONGLY
preferred.Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Pay:
