Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform accounts receivable aging review and follow-up with payers (guarantors and insurance) in a timely manner. Document all contact with payers and set tasks for follow-up. File appropriate claim appeals and secondary claims when necessary. Monitor and respond to messages left on the practice's billing line. Report necessary account information to outside collections agency. Identify and report billing trends (e.g., claim denials, claims paid not according to fee schedule, errors in demographic information, or copay/deductible) to the immediate supervisor. Post and reconcile received payments in the practice management software. Insurance Verification. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Please note

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • One year of revenue cycle management experience. Preferably in a family medicine practice.
  • Current Coding Certification preferred, but not required
  • Must be a team player with a keen eye for detail
