Work Week is Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Responsibilities to include reviewing charges for billing insurance, sending claims to insurance companies, and posting insurance checks. Candidate must be detail oriented, team player, able to multi-task and work in a very fast paced environment. Must present a professional public image, both visual and over the phone.
Job Duties:
Process all paper and electronic claims from assigned carriers - verifies completeness/accuracy prior to submitting. Follows up on rejected claims and appeals, making corrections immediately and resubmitting. Post all payments both manually and electronically. Submit monthly reports. Communicate with patients regarding balances and statements. Explain insurance benefits, co-pays and deductibles to staff and patients. Verify benefits for all insurance companies.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma required Minimum of two years medical insurance (both private and government) billing required as well as claims posting and insurance follow-up. Experience with Medicare billing preferred.
