Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Dental and Medical Billing and Insurance Coordinator to join our growing oral and maxillofacial surgery office. We do full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery and facial cosmetic surgery. You will help manage the billing and insurance process, ensuring accurate claim submissions, timely reimbursements, and seamless communication with insurance providers and patients. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit dental and medical insurance claims using billing software and EMR/EHR systems Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility prior to procedures Ensure accurate coding using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), and ICD coding standards Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collections strategies Maintain detailed medical records, billing documentation, and claim status updates Communicate clearly with insurance companies to resolve claim discrepancies or rejections promptly Stay current with healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and coding updates to ensure compliance and maximize reimbursements Experience Experience in medical billing or healthcare claims management within a dental or medical office setting is preferred, but we will train the right person for the job. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
