Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Reimbursement and Authorization Specialist to join our healthcare administration team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of managed care processes, medical billing, and insurance protocols. This role is vital in ensuring accurate reimbursement, timely authorizations, and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. The specialist will work closely with medical offices, insurance providers, and patients to facilitate efficient claims processing and authorization procedures, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Duties Obtain renewal authorizations for personal care and respite services Verify patient eligibility monthly Prepare weekly payroll for personal care aides Perform weekly personal care billing Work claim denials Collect patient copays AR Management Payment posting • Billing experience preferred.
