Job Description

Part-Time Insurance Billing Specialist Optimal Health and Wellness is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Insurance Billing Specialist to join our growing team. This is a part-time, in-office position for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with insurance claims, and helping ensure patients receive exceptional service behind the scenes. We are a functional, regenerative, and primary care practice committed to providing personalized, patient-centered care in a positive, supportive environment. Position Responsibilities Submit and monitor insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Post insurance payments and reconcile accounts Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and make necessary claim corrections Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and appeals Assist patients with billing questions and insurance inquiries Maintain accurate patient account documentation Work closely with providers and front office staff to ensure proper coding and documentation Identify billing trends and recommend process improvements Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Qualifications Previous medical insurance billing experience required Knowledge of ICD-IO, CPT, and HCPCS coding preferred Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team Experience with claim appeals and insurance follow-up is highly preferred What We Offer Flexible part-time schedule Supportive and positive team environment Opportunity to work in a growing functional and regenerative medicine practice Employee discounts on clinic services and products Opportunities for professional growth and continued learning
