100% Onsite Extension is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist for a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin . About Our Client Mission-driven nonprofit organization. Offers residential treatment, outpatient programming, and recovery housing programs that create lasting impact within the community. Key Objectives / Role Responsibilities Process and manage day-to-day medical billing activities within Epic while ensuring accurate and timely claim submission. Support Medicaid billing functions through ForwardHealth and assist with Milwaukee County billing activities. Review, research, and resolve billing discrepancies while maintaining accurate billing documentation and records. Collaborate with therapists, clinical staff, and external billing contacts to obtain necessary information and ensure reimbursement accuracy. Assist with claims follow-up, corrections, reporting, and evolving billing processes as the organization continues to grow. Support both Medicaid and commercial insurance billing activities while contributing to the success of a small, highly visible billing team. Desired Skills & Qualifications Required Qualifications Epic experience (required). Previous medical billing, healthcare billing, revenue cycle, claims processing, or reimbursement experience. Preferred Qualifications Medicaid billing experience. ForwardHealth experience. Behavioral health or mental health billing experience. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have hands-on Epic billing experience and be able to contribute immediately. Candidates with strong healthcare billing fundamentals from hospitals, clinics, specialty practices, or other medical environments are encouraged to apply. While behavioral health experience is a plus, it is not required. We're seeking someone who: Understands healthcare claims and reimbursement processes. Is comfortable working with Medicaid billing and ForwardHealth. Communicates effectively with clinical staff and external agencies.
