•70,000 + Commission Advanced Recovery Group (ARG) is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Assistant Collections Manager to support the daily operations of our Collections Department. The Assistant Collections Manager will work closely with the Collections Manager and will be primarily responsible for new hire onboarding and training, account auditing, high balance account tracking, collector support, and assisting with departmental operations . This position will play an important role in maintaining consistency, accountability, and performance throughout the Collections Department. Key Responsibilities Manage the onboarding and training process for all new Collections Department hires. Develop, coordinate, and conduct training to ensure new employees understand ARG's policies, procedures, collection standards, systems, and account management expectations. Provide continued training and support to new hires throughout their onboarding period and identify areas where additional coaching may be needed. Conduct regular account audits to ensure collectors are properly working their assigned accounts and following company policies, procedures, documentation requirements, and compliance standards. Review account activity to identify files that are not receiving appropriate or consistent collection efforts. Monitor and track high-balance accounts to ensure consistent activity, appropriate follow-up, and measurable progress toward resolution. Maintain organized tracking of high-balance files and provide management with updates regarding account progress, concerns, and outstanding next steps. Identify account issues, performance concerns, procedural deficiencies, or compliance concerns and escalate them to management when appropriate. Provide ongoing support and guidance to collectors to promote consistency, accountability, and adherence to department expectations. Assist the Collections Manager with daily departmental operations, employee oversight, reporting, and special projects as needed. Assist management with implementing new collection processes, procedures, systems, and departmental initiatives. Monitor the implementation of new procedures to ensure they are being consistently followed throughout the department. Serve as an additional point of contact for collectors who have questions regarding procedures, systems, or account handling. Qualifications Previous collections experience required. Commercial collections, B2B collections, or similar debt recovery experience preferred. Previous training, supervisory, quality assurance, auditing, or leadership experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of collection practices and account management. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify account or documentation deficiencies. Ability to effectively train, coach, and provide guidance to employees. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up consistently. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Ability to learn and become highly proficient in collection management and CRM systems.
Compensation Base Salary:
$65,000
•70,000 annually, based on experience
Commission:
Performance-based commission in addition to base salary
OTE:
Approximately $85,000
•90,000 annually Position Objective The goal of the Assistant Collections Manager is to provide additional structure and oversight within the Collections Department by ensuring new hires are properly trained, collector accounts are consistently reviewed, high-balance files are actively progressing, and departmental procedures are being followed. This position will support the Collections Manager in maintaining an organized, accountable, and productive Collections Department as ARG continues to grow.
