- Learn, adopt, and help employ standard operating procedures of our new product identification process from evaluation to market demand validation to marketing strategy.
- Contribute to the operational and project management responsibilities regarding new and current product development initiatives
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect and analyze historical and current consumer product data, including prices, sales, and methods of marketing
- Research, identify, qualify, and present new product ideas aimed at increasing the company ROI
- Conduct in-depth web research of new products, trends, and companies and report out findings
- Conduct in-depth product research at physical retail stores.
- Adhere to and promote company values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team member and support the continued growth of the company
ADDITIONAL TASKS
- Regularly search for exciting product sales information through various sources
- Regularly monitor viral product trends on various forms of social media platforms
- Record and maintain previous and current exciting products and their sales information
- Regularly check ecommerce site top categories
- Report new product findings to the team
- Regularly meet with team to discuss new products
- Perform other various related duties and assignments as required
- Validate new product concept details via online surveys
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree required (Advertising, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred)
- 10+ years of related in-office work experience (Trend Research, Product Development and/or Digital Marketing preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong sense of urgency
- Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills working in a collaborative manner
- Ability to create and present compelling data to a team
- Microsoft Office Suite products (Acrobat, Word, Excel, Outlook); Internet savvy
- AI prompting savvy
- Social media site user proficiency with existing, active personal accounts
- Standard office communication practices
QUALIFICATIONS
- Energetic, self-starter who works well both autonomously and leading a team
- Quick learner with strong attention to detail
- Can-do attitude and general enthusiasm and interest in the consumer products industry
- Ability to handle change, pressure, and flexibility of a fast-paced, creative environment
- Passion for in-depth product research and analysis
- Ability to prioritize and manage schedules and various different tasks
Pay:
