Collections/Loss Mitigation Supervisor Location:
Addison Hours:
8:00 am - 5:00 pm M-F; 8:00 am - 12:00 pm Sat. (Occasional/As Needed) Lead departmental staff. Provide guidance and effective training and cross-training to enhance efficiency and productivity of collections workflow and ensure that departmental objectives are met. Coach and counsel 10-12 team members to achieve desired performance results. Ensure team goals are attained. Devise and maintain effective reporting/monitoring mechanisms to ensure high productivity. Ensure default and investor reporting is reported accurately on a monthly basis Create, grade and maintain QC processes for internal processes Planning, scheduling, leading, and evaluating effective staff meetings in support of strong communication and department effectiveness. Hold regular 1:1 meeting with employees to ensure personal and professional development. Assist team members with escalated calls and daily assigned task or strategies. Handle complex collection or loss mitigation inquiries/calculations Respond to and investigate internal/external audit findings Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Job competencies:
Minimum 2 years' experience in mortgage collections/servicing. Minimum 1 year experience in a management /supervisory position desired. Preferably in a call center environment. Advanced Microsoft Excel experience recommended and preferred for report summaries or ad-hoc requests Ability to coordinate a variety of assignments simultaneously and prioritize work assignments for self and staff. Ability to exercise judgment, initiative, and tact in dealing with members, staff, co-workers, management, and outside agencies. Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems. Collection system experience with building/maintaining queues, workflows, and tasks. Proven effective written and verbal communication skills. High School Diploma or GED preferred. LoanServ and Tempo experience a plus Modification product knowledge a plus
FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC
