Sheldon Elementary School Primary Purpose:
Maintain accurate student attendance, enrollment, withdrawal, demographic, and PEIMS data records for the campus in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. Provide clerical and administrative support to ensure timely and accurate reporting through the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS).Qualifications:
High School Graduate or GED certificateSpecial Knowledge/Skills:
1. Ability to use computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases, including word processing 2. Proficient keyboarding, file maintenance and 10-key skills 3. Ability to meet established deadlines Experience; 1. Two years data entry experience recommended or experience in a school office settingMajor Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy of data according to established procedures 2. Maintain attendance records and use established procedures to identify and process excessive absences. 3. Prepare and print reports, grades, class or personal rosters, end-of-semester reports, or accounting reports 4. Maintain physical and computerized records, including student cumulative folders, progress and failure reports, class rosters, grade books, and schedule changes if applicable 5. Assist in processing new student records, including requesting records from other schools, setting up cumulative folder, and entering student data into appropriate databases 6. Process and transmit requests for student information and transcripts as applicable 7. Assist in campus office as needed 8. Maintain confidentiality 9. Requires repetitive hand motions prolonged use of computer- Minimum Salary $16.28 hourly
