Job Description
Peter T. Surapine & Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining company records and databases while ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of information. The ideal candidate is dependable, efficient, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment. Key Responsibilities Enter and update data into company databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems with a high level of accuracy. Review documents for completeness and accuracy before data entry. Maintain and organize electronic and paper files. Verify, correct, and retrieve data as needed. Assist with processing invoices, purchase orders, and other administrative documents. Generate reports and compile information for management upon request. Respond to internal requests for data and documentation. Maintain confidentiality of company and client information. Perform general administrative and clerical duties, including filing, scanning, and document preparation. Support office staff with additional administrative tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. Previous experience in data entry, administrative support, or office administration preferred. Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with accounting or ERP software. Familiarity with construction or contracting industry documentation is a plus. Knowledge of document management systems.
