Role:
Pain and Disability Institute PC in Jersey City, NJ is looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our dedicated healthcare team. This is a great opportunity to play a vital behind-the-scenes role in a fast-paced medical environment where accuracy and efficiency truly matter.
Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and update patient and clinical data into electronic health record (EHR) systems Verify and review data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with office standards Maintain and organize digital and physical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations Process and manage medical forms, insurance documents, and patient intake information Collaborate with administrative and clinical staff to ensure timely data processing Identify and correct data discrepancies or errors promptly Support general office administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or relevant coursework preferred Prior data entry experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and data management software Strong typing speed and accuracy with keen attention to detail Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and handling confidential patient information Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
