A Field Data Collector is responsible for gathering accurate and reliable data in the field. They typically work in various industries such as market research, environmental studies, urban planning, and more. Field Data Collectors use specialized equipment and tools to collect data, conduct surveys, take measurements, and record observations. They may also be responsible for organizing and managing collected data, ensuring data quality, and reporting findings to relevant stakeholders. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential for this role. This position presents the exciting professional opportunity for you to join the Bus Operations team and work in the area of Data Procurement.Salary:
$47,225Roles and Responsibilities:
Rides assigned Bus routes and Light Rail systems to monitor schedule adherence and collect passenger activity data, including the method of payment, number of passengers, and the location of passengers boarding and alighting. Performs standing checks for Bus routes and Light Rail systems, including data collection via closed circuit television. Enters data into computer systems as directed by Supervisor. Performs field tasks as necessary for special projects.Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. One year of related work experience desired. Ability to write legibly. Must possess a valid driver's license Must be able to work an irregular work schedule that includes weekends, early mornings, and late nights. Travel is required to various locations that are serviced byNJ TRANSIT
