Data Entry Clerk Office of the Attorney General -
Child Support Division Position Type:
Temporary Assignment The Office of the Attorney General, Child Support Division, is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join its team on a temporary assignment. This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, accurate, and committed to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Minimum Requirements:
Typing speed of 35 words per minute (WPM) or higher (typing certificate required) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Excellent organizational and time management skills Basic computer proficiency and data entry experience preferred
Essential Job Duties:
Enter new and updated customer and account information into the database accurately and efficiently. Prepare source documents for data entry by compiling, sorting, and prioritizing information. Review documents for completeness and accuracy, resolving discrepancies or forwarding incomplete documents for correction. Input alphabetic and numeric data into computer systems according to established procedures. Verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re-entering information as needed. Merge information from multiple systems when records are incomplete and eliminate duplicate records. Assist with testing system updates and enhancements by entering test data and reviewing results. Perform database backup procedures to help protect critical information. Follow established policies, procedures, and quality standards while identifying opportunities for process improvements. Maintain strict confidentiality of customer and agency information. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the Child Support Division.
