3008189900-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to support accurate, timely diagnostic testing. In this on-site role, you will enter and verify patient demographics, test orders, and laboratory results into our Laboratory Information System and related EHR platforms, ensuring data integrity and compliance with HIPAA and CPL quality standards. You will work closely with lab staff, clinicians, and client services to resolve discrepancies, prioritize high-volume workloads, and meet turnaround times in a patient-focused, collaborative environment with opportunities for skill development and growth. Responsibilities Enter and verify patient demographics, test orders, and results in the Laboratory Information System and EHRs Review requisitions for completeness and accuracy, resolving missing or conflicting information Maintain high data quality standards, identifying and correcting errors promptly Prioritize and process high-volume data entry to meet turnaround time goals Collaborate with laboratory staff, client services, and clinicians to address order or result discrepancies Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and CPL data security policies Monitor work queues and reports to ensure all orders and results are fully processed Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to standard operating procedures Assist with basic reporting and data retrieval as requested by lab leadership Participate in ongoing training to stay current with system updates and workflow changes Required Skills Data entry (10-key and alphanumeric) Electronic health record (EHR) systems Laboratory Information System (LIS) usage Microsoft Excel Medical terminology Accuracy and attention to detail HIPAA compliance knowledge Order entry and verification Basic data quality auditing Time management
