In this on-site leadership role, you will oversee validation, implementation, and optimization of clinical and anatomic pathology tests, ensure
CLIA/CAP
compliance, and drive quality, accuracy, and turnaround time. Partnering with pathologists and clinicians, you will guide test interpretation and innovation, mentor laboratory professionals, and help shape CPL's growth while directly impacting patient care across a stable, expanding healthcare organization. Responsibilities Provide scientific and clinical leadership for CPL's diagnostic laboratory services Oversee validation, implementation, and optimization of clinical and anatomic pathology tests Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance (CLIA, CAP, state requirements) Collaborate with pathologists and clinicians to support high-quality patient care Monitor and improve laboratory quality, accuracy, and turnaround times Guide data analysis, interpretation, and reporting of complex test results Evaluate and introduce advanced laboratory technologies and methodologies Develop and enforce standard operating procedures and best practices Mentor and develop laboratory scientists and technical staff Contribute to strategic planning and innovation in test menu and services Required Skills Clinical laboratory operations management Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant regulatory standards Molecular diagnostics and/or clinical chemistry expertise Quality management and method validation Data analysis and interpretation of laboratory results Laboratory information systems (LIS) and related IT tools Project management and process improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) People leadership and cross-functional collaboration Scientific writing and documentation of SOPs and validations Strategic planning for test menu and technology adoption
