Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk in Hampton, Virginia. This position focuses on accurately entering financial journal information so records are organized and ready for year-end close activities. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling high-volume numeric entry, works carefully with sensitive data, and maintains accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Enter journal entry data into financial systems with a high level of speed and accuracy.
- Review source documents carefully to ensure information is recorded correctly and completely.
- Support the finance team by updating records needed for year-end close preparation.
- Verify numeric data and identify discrepancies before final submission.
- Maintain organized documentation and follow established procedures for data handling.
