Job Overview The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of benefits administration, regulatory compliance, and enrollment processes, along with excellent organizational and customer service skills. This position provides support to internal teams, clients, and members to ensure a seamless enrollment experience and compliance with federal regulations. This role is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant handling of COBRA events, member enrollments, and eligibility changes while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive member information.

Pay:
$25-$27 per hour What you'll be doing: Administer end-to-end COBRA processes including qualifying events, notifications, elections, reinstatements, and terminations Ensure compliance with COBRA regulations, timelines, and required documentation. Coordinate with vendors, service representatives, and internal teams regarding COBRA eligibility and billing inquiries Maintain accurate records related to COBRA participants, contributions, and coverage status Provide support with reviewing and reconciling customer bills and invoices Process enrollments, terminations, and eligibility changes for employer groups and individual members Maintain accurate records of additions, terminations, and changes within internal systems Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and identify effective solutions Support all aspects of commercial health plan and COBRA administration Provide Help Desk support for the Group Administration department as needed or on a rotating basis Maintain HIPAA compliance and handle confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and integrity Maintain confidentiality in interactions with members, staff, leadership, and external partners as needed May need to travel occasionally to attend events, meetings, or training sessions Other projects and assignments as needed What we're looking for: High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Smartsheet Strong communication and active listening skills with the ability to provide clear feedback and support Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment Ability to type at least 50 words per minute Strong sense of urgency with excellent organizational and time management skills Good to have: 2+ years of experience in healthcare, benefits administration, office administration, or customer service Associate's or bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
