Job Description

Job Summary The Ordering Specialist is responsible for accurately processing and managing student and staff orders while providing responsive, professional customer service to families, vendors, and school staff. This position requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as the Specialist regularly identifies and troubleshoots ordering, pricing, vendor, and system-related issues and determines appropriate solutions. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. They must be comfortable investigating problems, recognizing discrepancies or missing information, and following issues through to resolution. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and other departments, exercise sound judgment, and maintain accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced, highly detail-oriented environment. Strong written communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly, professionally, and tactfully with a variety of individuals and demonstrate strong attention to grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, and overall message clarity.

  • California residency required, virtual position with some in-person requirements
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Coursework, training, or a degree in bookkeeping, accounting, office management, business administration, or a related field is preferred. OR
  • Relevant experience in purchasing, ordering, customer service, administrative support, bookkeeping, or a related area is preferred.
