Job Description
Job Summary:
The Senior Audio Video Engineer is responsible for designing, supporting, implementing, and maintaining audio and video systems for Kaiser Permanente Enterprise systems. The Senior Audio Video Engineer maintains and administers video conferencing platforms and works with the business to support project-based deliverables for meeting technology at KP. They test and evaluate presentation and video systems for optimum performance in support of ongoing and future business needs and work with vendors to get the best services available. Manage Vendor contracts, designs and scopes for new project builds and system support services. Support enterprise expansion by designing and implementing conferencing systems for new office and clinical builds. Work closely with the network engineering and infrastructure teams on design, deployments, configuration, and troubleshooting. Works directly with Executive Leadership and other Business Partners to provide any support or consultation that may be required. Responsibilities- Analyze business requirements to develop technical audio and video solutions and their framework.
- Design, deploy and configure audio and video infrastructure in new and existing offices and clinical spaces.
- Proactive management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical analysis of the Enterprise AV infrastructure.
- Perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose audio and video problems.
- Design and test audio and video systems in support of Large complex solutions to small solutions,
- Work closely with the Regional Executive Leadership teams and Exec IT Support providing front line consultations, meeting support and any issue that may arise related to these Executive teams for AV technologies, Emergency Operations Support, VIPs and other White Glove initiatives.
- Work with the Engineering team to implement changes to meet current and future business needs across all Regions.
- Work closely with IT leadership, Facilities, and other departments to meet goals and objectives.
- Stay abreast of how video and collaboration infrastructures are currently impacting and driving competitors and the latest products and solutions.
- Consult with business units to provide workable, creative solutions, and problem resolution.
- Manage Regional implementation and maintenance vendors to obtain the best technical services.
- Testing and validation of video hardware and platforms for Zoom, MSFT Teams, Cisco, Neat, Pexip, Crestron as well as any identified roadmap strategies.
