Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Finance Director, assists APT clients with first- and third-party issues in an attempt to maximize reimbursement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilizes and designs reports to plan financial meetings with clients. Places alerts on SMART which drive client meetings. Works with client and finance team to determine client fund source. Applies clients for DSS and other benefits. Monitors and manages client re-determinations and spend downs. Communicates changes in client financial status to finance team. Performs insurance sweeps to identify new insurance information. Assists and educates APT clients and staff in understanding APT financial policies. Communicates routinely with DSS staff regarding eligibility issues specific to APT client population. Monitors bottle reports routinely to determine if client remains eligible for bottle privileges. Assists patients with transportation needs.

Qualifications and Skills:

Thorough knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Insurance benefits. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner in the community. Ability to interact effectively with a variety of client temperaments, often in stressful situations. Possesses excellent, independent decision-making skills. Reliability, consistent attendance, and punctuality. Bilingual Spanish preferred
