Medicaid Specialist We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medicaid Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting Medicaid Long Term Care applicants through the Medicaid application process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Medicaid policies and procedures in Florida and excellent organizational skills. Assist consumers by completing 701 S screenings and annual rescreening.

Position is required to:

Assist consumers through the Medicaid eligibility process Set and track personal performance goals to efficiently manage workload Educate and assist consumers with securing the medical forms from their doctor Assist consumers with eligibility applications and obtaining necessary paperwork to facilitate the eligibility and review process Ensure consumers have a complete understanding of pertinent policy information and program requirements regarding the enrollment and eligibility process Educate and assist consumers through the entire eligibility process Handle grievance and complaints as assigned Enter data in eligibility software Ensure client records are current and complete Respond within 48 hours to all voicemail and email requests Maintain accurate and complete screenings Successfully complete specialized training Minimum Requirements for position: Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year of experience as a case worker, case manager, intake specialist or similar human services related work OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
