Full Job Description Job Title:
Patient Outreach & Engagement Specialist Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, articulate, and persuasive Patient Outreach & Engagement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be on the front lines of patient health, conducting calls and direct outreach to members to schedule their essential annual health screenings. The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, resilient in handling objections, and passionate about converting hesitant or busy individuals into scheduled appointments.
Available Shifts:
We are hiring for multiple full-time shift schedules:
Day Shift:
8:00 AM - 4:00
PM Second Shift:
11:00 AM- 7:00
PM Key Responsibilities:
Conduct outbound cold calls to plan members to educate them on the importance of preventative care and annual health screenings. Build immediate rapport over the phone, using persuasive communication techniques to overcome hesitation, answer questions, and schedule appointment slots. Meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets for completed call volumes and scheduled patient appointments. Maintain accurate records of member interactions, call outcomes, and scheduled appointments in the CRM/EHR system. Follow up on unanswered calls, left messages, and rescheduled requests in a timely, organized manner. Maintain member privacy and adhere strictly to HIPAA and organizational guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1+ years of experience in cold calling, telemarketing, outbound sales, or proactive appointment setting (healthcare experience is a plus). Proven track record of meeting or exceeding call volume and conversion goals. Exceptional verbal communication, active listening, and objection-handling skills. Comfortable with heavy phone volume and persistent, positive follow-up. High level of empathy, professionalism, and patience when speaking with diverse patient populations. Proficiency with computer databases, CRM software, or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
