Full Job Description Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process credit card payments.
- Assist patients with financial statements and income verification.
- Updating clinical staff on patient financial obligations.
- Knowledge and practice of HIPAA guidelines in healthcare.
- Attend required staff meetings.
- Willing and able to participate in training and in developing training resources.
- Communicate with drug representatives regarding patient enrollment.
- Assist in insurance reverification process.
- Assist with other responsibilities as required.
Skills/Competencies:
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
- Organizational skills.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- One to three years of experience in medical billing a plus.
