Job Description
Job Description This position for Graduate Programs serves as the primary recruitment and admissions professional for graduate programs within the School of Science and Engineering (SSE). This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic enrollment initiatives that attract, recruit, and enroll highly qualified master's and professional students in support of the School's enrollment goals and strategic priorities. Working closely with the Dean's Office, academic departments, faculty program directors, Enrollment Management, and Marketing and Communications, the Admission Specialist develops targeted recruitment strategies that strengthen enrollment across the School's portfolio of graduate programs. Particular emphasis is placed on expanding enrollment in emerging and high-demand science, engineering, technology, and interdisciplinary programs aligned with SSE's strategic growth initiatives. The role oversees the admissions process from prospect cultivation through matriculation, leveraging CRM technologies, enrollment analytics, and relationship-based recruitment practices to enhance the applicant experience and improve enrollment outcomes. The incumbent serves as a key liaison between prospective students, faculty, industry partners, and university stakeholders while promoting the School's distinctive strengths in research, innovation, experiential learning, and interdisciplinary education. This position analyzes recruitment and enrollment trends, develops data-informed recommendations, and supports efforts to enhance the School's visibility, competitiveness, and graduate student pipeline regionally, nationally, and internationally. Responsibilities Knowledge of graduate admissions and enrollment management best practices. Understanding of recruitment strategies for STEM and professional education programs. Ability to analyze enrollment data and make data-informed recommendations. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to engage effectively with prospective students, faculty, alumni, and external partners. Experience utilizing CRM systems, reporting tools, and enrollment technologies. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality. Demonstrated commitment to student-centered service and inclusive recruitment practices.
