Takoma Park, MD Job Details Part-time $22.90 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Spanish Customer communication English Productivity software Full Job Description Job Summary The Bilingual Admissions Specialist at CentroNía is essential in guiding families through the entire admissions process, from initial recruitment to enrollment and everyday operations. This role involves assessing families' eligibility for the Maryland (MoCo & PG County) subsidy program and other available services, ensuring they receive the necessary support to access quality early childhood education. This position is on-call and serves in helping surges of recruitment that occur during summer and other shorter seasons.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct outreach and recruitment efforts to engage families and maintain the sites fully enrolled. Assist families with the application and enrollment process by conducting intakes, reviews, and contracts for new and current families for families with children between 6 weeks and 10 years. Verify documentation to determine families' eligibility for the MD subsidy (voucher program). Keep student records uptodate in the software and databases used. Collect payments from parents and assist with billing inquiries. Provide exceptional customer service and address inquiries from staff and families. Support families as they navigate CentroNía's programs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about community engagement. Strong analytical and communication skills in both English and Spanish are crucial for effectively serving diverse families and upholding CentroNía's commitment to accessibility and equity in early childhood education. A minimum of an Associate's Degree (Bachelor's preferred) or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is required. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office is also necessary.
