General Responsibilities To screen calls for services and to facilitate clients in accessing intake services by scheduling intake appointments and verifying insurance benefits, to participate in data collection activities as assigned, and to assist the Office Manager and clinical leadership in various other duties as needed. Specific Essential Functions of the Job 1. Screening Activities

• Screen requests for services to obtain information necessary to determine appropriateness for services as well as level of urgency.
• Prepare the electronic health record for client activity.
• Obtain initial information related to billing. 2. Benefits Verification
• Verify insurance benefits as appropriate/needed. 3. Assistant to Office Manager and clinical leadership
• Collection and/or computation of data related to Alta intake and other services and related activities. 4. Support to the Agency
• During downtime and as time permits, provide secretarial support, as needed.
• If appointed, serve on Alta Committees/Task Forces.
• Attend Team/Departmental/Alta staff meetings as requested.
• Attend and participate in regularly scheduled and other supervision activities.
• Maintain accurate activities in the electronic health record and enter time accounting as required by Alta's Time Management system.

Minimum Essential Conditions for Employment 1. High School Diploma 2. Experience in computer software programs. 3. Reliable transportation for self, as needed. A. Valid Ohio Driver's License. B. Maintain insurance coverage on personal vehicle at least at State minimum. 4. Citizen of the United States. 5. Absence of past criminal activity, which would bring into question professional and personal integrity as it applies to position responsibilities. 6. Loyalty to Alta interests. Preferred Qualifications 1. High level customer service experience in a healthcare related industry. 2. Experience using electronic health record systems and Microsoft Excel. 3. Experience verifying insurance benefits. 4. Experience using a multiline phone system.
