Silas Eye Care is looking for an experienced, bilingual Medical Insurance Verification Specialist to join our Texas City office. We have a friendly, hardworking team and are looking for another high-quality individual who is dependable, positive, takes initiative, and takes pride in doing their job well. What You'll Do Verify medical and vision insurance eligibility and benefits Review copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and patient responsibility Clearly communicate copays, estimated costs, and outstanding balances to patients Contact insurance companies to resolve eligibility or benefit questions Ensure insurance information is accurate before patient visits Follow up on outstanding verification items Maintain accurate patient and insurance information Provide general front-office support as needed What We're Looking For Insurance verification experience required 2+ years of medical office/insurance experience preferred Optometry or ophthalmology experience strongly preferred Bilingual English/Spanish required Comfortable discussing copays, deductibles, and balances with patients Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality Organized, professional, and able to work independently Go-getter who is willing to learn, take initiative, and take ownership If you're experienced, dependable, and looking for a friendly team , we'd love to hear from you!
