Marathon County Special Education, Birth to 3 is accepting applications for a Part or Full Time
CREDENTIALING AND INSURANCE SUPPORT SPECIALIST
This position is in office,
Wausau, WI Education and Experience:
Preferred:
High School Diploma and 1-2 years experience in Health Care related Business Services. Attention to detail, ability to learn and navigate the electronic medical record, proficient with basic bookkeeping, accounting entries, and spread sheets. Experience with healthcare receivables and collection. Experience with credentialing providers. Strong communication skills
Duties:
Responsible for initial credentialing and re credentialing of agency and Birth to 3 providers. Submit prior authorizations to Forward Health Medicaid. Work closely with the departments Revenue Cycle Management company for private insurance prior authorizations and medical necessity. Monitors denials, eligibility issues and parental cost share. Observes and understand EMR workflow Data entry and importing of billing services Assists with any account questions or concerns and works closely with the program director regarding any write offs. Primary point of contact with insurance companies and policy holders regarding any insurance issues. Must be reliable, organized and client oriented. Starting wage $21.50/hour Full benefits for full time employment
