Job Description

This position supports the work of the Merrimack Valley YMCA, a leading nonprofit organization committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Executive Assistant serves as a trusted partner to the President & CEO and a key contributor to the effective operation of the Association. This position provides high-level administrative, operational, and strategic support while helping to ensure organizational priorities, governance activities, and key initiatives are executed successfully. The Executive Assistant serves as a primary point of coordination among executive leadership, the Board of Directors, donors, community partners, volunteers, and other stakeholders. Success in this role requires exceptional judgment, discretion, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, resourceful, and capable of anticipating needs, solving problems, and supporting organizational effectiveness at the highest level.
Qualifications:
Executive judgment and discretion; exceptional organizational skills; strong communication abilities; attention to detail; initiative and problem solving; relationship building; project coordination; adaptability; professionalism and integrity. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Significant experience providing executive-level administrative, operational, or project support.
  • Experience supporting a CEO, President, senior executive, or Board of Directors strongly preferred.
  • Strong technology, communication, organizational, and relationship-management skills.
