Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH)

Full-Time | State Position | Onsite Reliable Health Care Services is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative and operational support to executive leadership within the Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) . This full-time position is based in Carson City. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for research, correspondence, meeting coordination, policy and procedure support, legislative tracking, board coordination, office management, and supervision of support staff. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional comfortable supporting high-level officials in a fast-paced government environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct administrative support to executive leadership, including preparation of reports, correspondence, presentations, speaking points, policies, procedures, and news releases Coordinate and track legislative requests and activities during legislative sessions Support the State Board of Health by coordinating meetings from beginning to end, ensuring compliance with the Nevada Open Meeting Law and meeting deadlines Coordinate board regulations and serve as liaison with the Legislative Counsel Bureau Manage office operations for Administration and the Business Office, including planning, workflow coordination, and implementation of office procedures Supervise and support Administrative Assistants and other office support staff Assist with the development and maintenance of manuals, policies, and procedures. Coordinate schedules, meetings, agendas, minutes, records, and follow-up items for executive leadership Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with high-level officials and administrators, and handling sensitive information Support special projects and additional administrative functions as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred Experience coordinating boards, commissions, or executive-level meetings Experience with minute-taking, regulation coordination, office management, and supervision Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills Experience writing manuals, policies, procedures, and formal correspondence Familiarity with the Nevada Open Meeting Law, board processes, and legislative coordination preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience supporting executive leadership or senior-level administrators preferred Benefits include: Medical, dental, life, and disability insurance programs Participation in the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) 11 paid holidays per year Three weeks of annual leave accrual per year Three weeks of sick leave accrual per year
