Job Description

Overview Mines and Meadows is seeking a highly organized, dependable and motivated Assistant to the General Manager to help oversee our daily operations. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong administrative, organizational, customer-service, and employee-management skills. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who takes ownership of their responsibilities, communicates clearly, stays organized and can confidently oversee weekend operations. This person must be willing to solve problems, support employees, assist customers and do whatever is reasonably necessary to keep Mines and Meadows operating safely and efficiently. Duties Create and maintain weekly employee schedules Coordinate staffing based on reservations, events, campground occupancy, and operational needs. Manage campground reservations, site assignments, customer questions, and check-ins Oversee weekend employees and ensure all positions are properly staffed. Provide employees with clear daily assignments and ensure tasks are completed. Assist with employee training, performance, attendance and accountability. Coordinate tour guides, office staff, parking attendants, maintenance personnel and other weekend roles. Respond to customer calls, emails, reservation questions and concerns Assist with opening and closing procedures Communicate operational issues directly to the General Manager Help manage special events, busy weekends, and unexpected staffing changes Maintain accurate schedules, reservation records, employee information and operational reports. Step into different roles when necessary to keep operations running smoothly Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned. Experience Previous supervisory, management, scheduling, hospitality, campground, or customer-service experience. Strong leadership and employee-management skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to create schedules and manage last-minute staffing changes. Strong computer, telephone, email, and organizational skills Ability to learn and use reservation, scheduling and point-of-sale software Professional and confident when handling customers and employees Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual and able to work independently Comfortable enforcing company policies and holding employees accountable Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
