Job Description

DEFINITION

Under the direction of the Superintendent of Schools; performs complex administrative functions of varied nature. Assignments are both general and specific and require considerable judgment and personal initiative to carry through. Coordinates activities of the office with the board, administrators, staff, and patrons. Manages the district's human resources process, including advertising for open positions, issuing employment contracts, and maintaining employment related files. Coordinates the compilation of data and verifies and prepares student enrollment and personnel related reports to the state and federal government. Manages the compilation, updating and distribution of district handbooks and policies and procedures. Assumes responsibility for duties not directly supervised.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

College degree or applicable experience. Knowledge of computers and database management procedures/practices. Extensive knowledge of administrative and human resources management practices and procedures. Ability and knowledge to compose properly a variety of memoranda or letters. Ability to follow complex instructions and perform difficult office tasks. Must have clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. Must understand the requirements of confidentiality when dealing with the public. Uses diplomacy in dealing with a variety of situations.

Full-time, year-round position.
