Job Description

Overview A growing assisted living organization is seeking a dedicated Assistant Executive Director to support the Administrator in managing daily community operations. This leadership role oversees Caregivers, Dietary, Activities, and support staff, and assumes operational responsibility in the Administrator's absence. Responsibilities Resident Care & Customer Service Ensure resident safety, well-being, and quality of care Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and care partners Lead care conferences and update Individual Service Plans Address and resolve concerns or grievances promptly Provide hands-on support when needed Operations Management Implement policies and procedures consistently Assist with budgeting, reporting, and operational planning Maintain accurate resident records Participate in on-call rotation (including weekends/holidays) Monitor resident health status and coordinate during emergencies Oversee medication orders, narcotic counts, and compliance tasks Staff Leadership Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development Promote teamwork and a positive work environment Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations Financial & Administrative Duties Support resident admissions and move-ins Manage inventory and ordering of supplies Record rent payments and manage petty cash Assist with cost control initiatives Reporting Report compliance, regulatory, or safety concerns Document resident condition changes and medication errors Communicate significant updates to leadership Report maintenance or facility issues impacting residents or staff Qualifications Valid RN License (Required) Experience in assisted living or healthcare leadership Strong communication and leadership skills Compassionate and resident-focused mindset Requirements Knowledge of state and federal assisted living regulations Completion of required training (OSHA, First Aid, Medication Administration, etc.) Willingness to complete ongoing education (15 hours annually) Ability to perform physical tasks including assisting residents safely Why Join Us? $31.00 - $33.00 per hour
